Negative Fill Explained in 3 minutes
Negative fill is one of the most used cinematic lighting techniques on small, but also gigantic film sets. Neg fill blocks unwanted light, giving the DP more control over the setup. Also, in this case, neg fill can be used to shape light, which is especially useful outside during an overcast day since the light comes from pretty much every possible angle.
