🥇 Dark Beauty Portrait with Two Lights ( Color Grading & Retouching)
Welcome to episode 2 of how Nathan got the shot of some of his favorite portraits like this "Dark Beauty Portrait with Two Lights". This video has 4 parts, the behind the scenes on set, the gear that he uses, the lighting setup, and the color grading and the retouching.
For this specific portrait, he is using a two lights setup: his main light is Strobepro X 600 Pro and on that, he has the 47-inch deep Octobox metered to f/8. It is placed slightly behind the model, the light still travels across the model's face and shoulder.
His second light is another StrobePro X 600 Pro and it's acting as his fill. That lights meter to around F 2.8 and it's got a blue gel attached to it which is housed inside of a large Profoto deep umbrella.
As you can see, it is quite easy to get a striking portrait of a female model using 2 lights, but what makes the difference is the post-processing of the image, making it different.
