Studio Portraits with Neon Background Effects
In this video photographer Gavin Hoey shows you how to add neon style shape to the background of your studio portraits, with a little help from Photoshop.
As Gavin explains, the trick to making this technique work starts with the light on your subject. It needs to look like there really is a neon background in the shot, even though there really isn't. Follow along as Gavin shows you step by step how to set up the flashes, add colored gels and ultimately go into Photoshop to complete the background effect.
