Lightroom How-to: Tone Digital Images Quickly and Make Them Look Awesome
Here is how I make an image 'sing' with very little time or effort. This requires nothing but a RAW image file and Lightroom.
This method is great for stock photography and high volume photography in general.
Key points:
*Set black point to zero, bring it back a few points at the very end when everything else is done
*Set contrast to 100. Yes 100 (It sounds crazy but it's not)
*Control highlights with the exposure slider
*Reveal shadows with the fill-light slider
*Keep working exposure and fill light sliders until you get the look you want
*Don't forget to apply the correct lens correction profile for your image
