Being There Project: That is what a landscape photographer sees before taking pictures
Often when I am taking landscape photographs I wish that I could capture a little of what I can see and hear around me and share it with others (apart from the medium of the photograph itself, of course). This type of photography involves long periods of standing and waiting, with nothing to do except reflect on the sights and sounds around you, usually while getting colder and damper.
I started to record short videos in between taking shots, just to try to capture something of the nature of the place. This is a work in progress and an on-going project which I have called "Being There". The results so far are shown in this video, along with one of the photos resulting from the shoot. No commentary, no music, just the sights and sounds of…being there.
I hope you enjoy it.
