Gary Waite a blind photographer and Nokia N8 smartphone
This is a special feature documenting Gary Waite, a blind photographer who explores the world through the lens of his Nokia N8 digital camera.
Gary's interpretation of the world is shown through the images he creates. Using a Nokia N8 smartphone, Gary travelled to Blackpool to capture the sights and sounds of the lively town.

You can know more about Gary with his book on Blurb: Favourite Session
About the book:
" Growing up during the 1970’s my school friends
and I in Wandsworth, London became immersed
in the improvised DIY culture of West Indian sound
systems, clashes or sessions. The project ‘Favourite
Session’ started as a series of documentary
photographs and recorded interviews exploring
historical developments within sound system West
Indian music culture. Utilising the artists and their
record collections, dub plates, DIY amp cases
and oral histories to create a photographic ‘portrait’
of favourite sessions past and present.”
