The Importance of Mood Boards: Why YOU Should Be Using These!
One of the tools that is at our disposal and that is often undervalued among many of us are "mood boards".
The process is quite simple, we seek to print reference images that we can use in our projects, not in order to copy them literally.
The objective is to streamline our methodology in the photo shoot so that our client or the person we are photographing has a clear idea of what we are looking for, without the need to give complicated verbal explanations.
Two main components of a mood board are: examples of body position and emotion. You need both of these and sometimes one or the other is lost most. If you have some reference images you can show your talent, it can make things a heck of a lot easier to get where you want to go.
