Try This Torn Paper Portrait Hack!
If you’re after a fun and creative portrait technique that makes use of a random roll of colored background paper, then you’re going to love this! But as photographer Gavin Hoey suggests, before you start ripping holes in expensive seamless background paper, practice the technique on a small, inexpensive roll of thin white paper.
Once Gavin has mastered the basics of this portrait look, he moves on to a large, bright yellow background paper for the final shoot. Starting with a small opening, Gavin carefully enlarges the hole, taking lots of photos along the way.
