How to calibrate lens autofocus WITHOUT buying a tool

This lens autofocus problem can happen because lenses can drift over time. You want your autofocus to be pin-sharp. Karl Taylor demonstrates how to simply calibrate your lens autofocus without needing to buy a lens calibration tool or calibration chart. You'll need the following:

  • A piece of whiteboard
  • A standard ruler
  • A pen or pencil
  • The lens for calibrating
  • Your camera with tripod

In this demo, Karl calibrates autofocus on his Canon's 1.2mm lens however, the process is similar for most camera brands and lenses.

I hoped for a real solution for every camera. But thi is again only for cameras, who have this specific option available. Other cameras are left out.
Bummer ...
