My name is Evan Ranft and I’m an Atlanta based photographer and YouTuber. This video was inspired by a recent conversation with a friend who just got their first DSLR camera. They were asking me questions that seemed obvious to me but it made me realize how little first time camera users really know.

So my goal with this video was to break down the key mistakes ruining people’s photos in a fast simple way using an everyday person’s voice. All these tips tie together quickly to get answers to questions like “what’s this p,s,m, and a on the dial?”, “why does my flash keep popping up”, “why are my photos so blurry” and more.
