Photocrowd.com launches print sales. How to earn money from your images
Anyone registered with the site can now create a personalised storefront within their Photocrowd profile where their images can be bought as high-quality framed prints and canvas wraps. In addition, a varied selection of Curated Collections showcase the very best work from Photocrowd’s talented global community, offering image buyers the chance to hang some of the best photography in the world on their walls.
Members can choose which of their photos they want to make available for sale, and Photocrowd will take care of the rest, including payment, production of the prints and wall art, global shipping, customer service, customer returns, and paying photographers their well-earned royalties – leaving them to focus on taking more great shots.
“We believe all photographers should have the opportunity to earn money from their best images, and that they should be paid a share of the profit that properly reflects the hard work and skill that goes into producing great work. With this exciting announcement, that’s now a reality for all of Photocrowd’s members. Everyone can have their own beautiful storefront for their work, selling their images as prints, framed prints and canvas wraps, and be considered for inclusion in our signature Curated Collections,” says Photocrowd co-founder and CEO Mike Betts.
Anyone can sign up to Photocrowd for free and begin selling their work straight away – all members will get a minimum 50% of the profits from each print sale they make if registered as a free ‘Crowd’ member. But by choosing to take out one of Photocrowd’s new paid subscription tiers, which were launched in tandem with print sales, photographers can earn up to 80% commission, getting some of the best returns you can find anywhere online.
Photocrowd members will also be able to buy prints of their own work at heavily discounted trade prices. And there are some great introductory offers for the first month, including up to 25% off all prints, and a special Founders Subscription that gives 3-months-free and a Founders badge for your Photocrowd profile.
This is an exciting step for Photocrowd, and with more developments on the way, including the promise of stock image sales later in the year, 2016 looks like a big year for the thriving community.
“We have more exciting plans for 2016, as we aim to become the premier community for people with a serious interest in photography,” says Betts.
