FujiFilm X-PRO 2 and Magnum photographer David Alan Harvey
Magnum photographer David Alan Harvey continues to inspire, using photography as a vehicle to immerse himself in the world.
David wrote on his Facebook :
We spent almost two weeks shooting in Puerto Rico where we had also teamed up for NatGeo TV about 20 years prior. I will have 12 students joining me in Old San Juan for a photo workhop March 13-19. My class will focus on the photo essay and Bryan will hold a small class as well on documentary filmmaking. Bryan has shot many docs for NatGeo and other venues . @michellemaddensmith is producing these two workshops so if you have any interest please contact her or see our workshop page on burnmagazine.org
For us it's been a family affair since Bryan and his brother filmmaker @erinharveypics started traveling on assignment with me when they were in grade school. Bryan and I are now in Tokyo where we just helped launch the XPro2 which I had been shooting (secretly) for the last few months.
My book "Divided Soul" on the Spanish cultural diaspora also had many pictures from PR. So work there has been on my agenda for quite awhile. Documentary films, photo books, exhibitions, and commissions are our life. The students we mentor have the same goals. Join our family affair if a life in photography appeals. I can't imagine a better way to learn and to express and yes to raise a family. @magnumphotos #xpro2 #puertorico
