How to create a quick and easy woodland themed backdrop for portrait and product photography
In this tutorial Sean and Harmony Sage teach you how to quickly set up a woodland themed photography backdrop for beautiful product or portrait photography.
Here is a quick list of supplies we used for this set up:-1 backdrop stand kit and a matte dark muslin grey backdrop cloth.-3 short light stands for attaching branches to.
-Several medium sized branches. We found ours around the neighborhood after a storm.
-1 basic clamp lamp with a 60 watt bulb. Use this as your backdrop spotlight.
-Gaffer's tape.
-Clamps for lights and backdrop cloth.
-1 light stand and basic 60 watt light + a china ball. We get our china ball shades online or at Pier 1 Imports.
-1 bright photo or film light. We have a Lightpanels Astra but these are pricey! You should be able to find a much more budget friendly light for this need.
-1 gold bounce card.
-Stool or chair for prop.
Our camera gear was as follows:
-Canon 5D Mark III
-Lensbaby Composer Lens with Edge 80mm Optic
