Timelapse Tutorial: How to shoot a timelapse video of the night sky with your DSLR
Cal Thomson recently got into astrophotography and went out to rural Lincolnshire (*), England to video the stars. Cal took a couple of photos and posted them on Facebook. The responses he got were amazing so he decided to make this tutorial sharing a bit of knowledge.
He used his Canon 6D, Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 lens, a Manfrotto 501 Tripod and an intervalometer.
Cal chose to shoot RAW instead of Jpeg so that he could push the images further in Adobe Lightroom 5.
I think the effects are quite astounding for a first try, and you?
