MARRAKECH: The third video in a series of 'Into the Hasselblad' films

This is the third in a series of 'Into the Hasselblad' films but this time Carl decided to fly out to Marrakech to do something a bit different. This set up really lends itself to travel so it is nice to compare it to the others vimeo.com/115650506 and vimeo.com/107709089. This one is slightly different in that he masked off the viewfinder so only that is in colour and his hand is black and white and the photographer thinks it looks so much better for it.


For those that ask techie questions. The camera is a Hasselblad 500C/M film camera using Kodak Portra 400 film. A great versatile film. Not as vivid as some but perfect for what he needs it for. The 120 film is then processed and the negative scanned to create a digital file which is what you see on the screen. Carl have done no post production of the scan at all.

While in Marrakech I stayed at the fantastic el-fenn.com/ boutique hotel (I'm editing a film for them which will be up soon). A great place to stay right in the middle of Marrakech and perfect to come back to and relax after a day wondering the Medina.
