We Present "Living photographs" with 4K cameras: How to Light for a Cinemagraph with James Schmelzer
Westcott Top Pro Elite educator James Schmelzer shoots in an abandoned area of Detroit to create a basketball-themed Flixel. Flixels, or living photographs, are created by shooting short videos and masking layers in Flixel's Cinemagraph software.
When shooting video, it is necessary to use continuous lighting. Jim uses 3 Skylux LEDs to illuminate his subject and background and a Scrim to block unwanted outside light.
