Beauty Retouch by professional fashion and portrait photographer Lindsay Adler
After my latest Portfolio Beauty Intensive in NY I select a shot where I loved the warm tones throughout the image. The photo was lit with a single beauty dish (to the right of the frame), the pose and lighting were subtle and the skin tones and warmth of the photo made for a quiet and elegant photograph.
This video shows a sped-up version of my retouch, which took a little less than 20 minutes total. I started by cleaning up skin blemishes, then did frequency separation, enhanced the eyes, corrected color, and added a vignette. Although this is not a tutorial per se, I thought it might be interesting for you to watch the process of perfecting the skin while maintaining detail as I have done here.
I plan on doing more of these in the future, so I hope you enjoy them! If you want retouching tutorials, also please check out my retouching dvd!
