Norton Museum of Art: Interview with Annie Leibovitz winner of the Prince of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities 2013
When the Norton Museum of Art decided to present an exhibition of Annie Leibovitz photographs, exhibit curator Charles Stainback had two difficult tasks, first deciding to show less celebrated images from Leibovitz's collection and second convincing the photographer that this was a good idea.
While the images in this exhibition are also of celebrities, they are quieter, more subtle, and in some ways, more provocative and interesting than the images that made Leibovitz a household name. This exhibition shines a light on work that should no longer be overlooked.
