These workshops are designed for one purpose: To enhance participant's understanding of the world, increase awareness of life's condition and assist them in identifying their role as photographers.
Team members are not required to be professional photographers but are required to be serious about the craft. These workshops are open to beginners and professionals.
The Nicaragua photography workshops are different and more intense than the others. Ordinarly, my workshops last anywhere from 10-14 days. However, because of the nature of the work in Nicaragua, we only go for one week at a time.
I have been invited back to Nicaragua to shoot family portraits at several feeding programs and each program hosts a couple of hundred families. Further details will be available soon.

FAQ
What If I am not a good photographer?
This workshop is not only for the professional photographer but also for the beginner. Over the 12 days, we will be exploring everything from how the camera works to shooting purposefully. That is, if you have a camera, you're getting a good start.
What if I do not have a professional camera?
If you have a nice camera, great! If not, don't worry. I understand the added cost of purchasing a new camera so if you're budget is tight, then I recommend renting a camera from www.lensrentals.com. They are sure to have everything you need.
How will this workshop benefit me as a photographer?
Whether you are a beginner or a professional photographer, this workshop has something for everyone. For the beginner, you'll learn the basics of camera operations, exposure to an amazing network of like-minded people, and a great start to your portfolio. For the professional, you have the opportunity use your craft for a humanitarian purpose. That is, your skills will allow you to gain an audience with the various organizations we are partnering with. No doubt, this workshop has something for everyone, but mostly your worldview through a lens and exposure to a new culture is invaluable. Moreover, these workshops are not only designed to teach photography but to develop your perspective as an observer of life.
