Interview with the incredible photographer Phil Toledano (PART 1)
Phillip Toledano was born in London to a French Moroccan mother, and an American father. He believes that photographs should be like unfinished sentences. There should always be space for questions. (*)
One part mad scientist, one part genius, one part artist and one part father and husband, photographer Phil Toledano speaks to RETV about his successful jump from art director to photographer.
His work has appeared in Esquire, Vanity Fair and the New York Times. With his distinct sense of humor Toledano describes his journey from concept to execution and how it doesn't always go the way you expect it to.
His work has run the gamut of portraying himself as North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il to shooting a series about his dying father. Every photo is a glimpse in to the mind of the photographer and a look at how he sees the world.
