Royal Dozen: Lorenzo de' Medici - The Magnificent - (1449–1492)
James Hill or Sultana Studios and Alexia Sinclair have created this beautiful picture, Lorenzo de' Medici. When I watch this image the first time, I though "a photoshop composition", but, no, and here we are the making of this picture.Of course, to see more from her series "The Royal Dozen" you can view in her portfolio.
And now the setup.
Lighting:We have 3 lights, Key light: Softbox camera left (above) / ƒ11, Fill light: Softbox camera left (low) / ƒ8, Fill light: Softbox camera right (middle) / ƒ8. Triggered with pocketwizards.
On the left.A vision of the key light ( slightly higher) and second fill light.
The fill light on the right
The final image with the light direction.
The picture has more light on the left and more shadow on the right. The key ligh has more power.
